blog style business theme with portfolio functionality designed to showcase a product or service. It includes 2 custom widgets: a Flickr widget and a video widget for YouTube or Vimeo videos. Line It Up also includes a landing page template, 8 color styles (blue, brown, dark, green, grey, purple, red, and navy – the default), and support for Themedy’s custom shortcodes.
Our Line It Up demo showcases using a static page for the home page, where content is put into columns using Themedy shortcodes. One common reason for using a static page for the home page is that it allows users with a role other than administrator (e. g., editor) to edit the home page. Under WordPress roles and capabilities, the
editor role lacks the capability of
edit_dashboard, which would be required to edit the home page of a site with a widgetized home page. This approach keeps the more powerful capabilities of the
administrator role in fewer hands without making routine edits to the home page a difficult chore.
Introduced on 08/24/11, Line It Up is a 3 column theme with 6 layout options. Beyond the WordPress standards of custom menus and threaded comments, Line It Up also supports custom headers and custom backgrounds.
