The Focus Pro theme from StudioPress is an HTML5-compliant refresh of the Focus 2 theme.
Focus Pro sticks closely to features of its predecessor. There’s a minor change in the typography, where the Economica font is substituted for the Yanone Kaffeesatz font in Focus 2, and a landing page template has been added. But beyond those updates, little is changed. Focus Pro is a simple blog-style design with the grid loop on its home page.
Introduced on 10/23/13 and updated in 2014, Focus Pro is a 3 column theme with 6 layout options. The theme includes a landing page template and support for 3 color styles (brown, gray, and blue – the default). The color styles are shown on our demo by making use of custom body classes. Beyond the WordPress standards of custom menus and threaded comments, Focus Pro also supports custom headers, custom backgrounds, and Google web fonts (specifically Economica and Lora). The selected fonts and weights add about 116 Kb to the site’s page weight, which is a lot for typography.
