Widgetized Home Page

A theme with a widgetized home page provides pre-defined widget areas into which you can drag-and-drop widgets to place content. Provided by WordPress generally, a theme or plugin, widgets create content based on settings you make. Depending on the layout and how you configure widgets, you can make a widgetized home page look like a stream of posts, or a blog style home page. Many newer StudioPress themes with a widgetized home page function like a blog until you place widgets into certain widget areas. That provides for a lot of flexibility. Even though placing and styling widgets is very easy, it's a little more work to set up this type of theme.
