The grid loop was popularized by some high-traffic sites running Genesis child themes, and it was added to the Genesis framework in version 1.5. This archive includes all themes that use the grid loop, and it shows that StudioPress has released a steady stream of themes with the grid loop. If you like the grid look as it appears on one of our demos, then one of these themes might be a good fit, but the settings for the grid loop are hard coded in the theme and are therefore more difficult to change should you later decide to do so. If you like the grid look, a little custom CSS can create a similar presentation, and that's a more flexible route to go in the long run.
