Blog Style Home Page

Themes with a blog style home page display posts one after another in what is called a "loop." They're a great way to display an updated stream of posts and take less work to set up than a theme with a widgetized home page. Most of our themes provide control over which posts are displayed by category selection. WordPress itself controls the number of posts shown by editing the Settings->Reading entry for Blog pages show at most. It's possible to hard-code these selections, making it more difficult to change which posts are displayed on the home page. If your post content comes in a lot of varieties and you want to be able to filter which content appears on your home page, look for a theme where these values aren't hard coded.
