The Amped theme from StudioPress catches the eye of those looking for light text on dark backgrounds. One of the nice touches used by the Amped theme is a custom “+” icon to mark menus with more than 1 item and to mark lists in the sidebar.
Released on 3/12/10, Amped is a 2 or 3 column theme with 6 layout options and a widgetized home page. It supports the WordPress standards of custom menus and threaded comments. Out of the box, Amped does not support custom headers, custom backgrounds, or enhanced typography.
The Amped theme has a total of 11 widget areas, 3 of which are footer widgets that divide the page into equal parts.
