The home page is divided into 3 widgetized stripes plus a 4th widgetized stripe that appears on every post or page. There are separate hero images for the front page, single pages, and posts, which can be customized via the WordPress theme customizer. You can also specify the colors for the site title background, the hero image overlay, links, button background, and the Before Footer widget area background.
The screenshot below illustrates how widget areas are presented based on the number of widgets placed into those widget areas. Note that every row doesn’t contain the same number of widgets, even though the overall width of each row is the same. In the unlikely event you place more than 9 widgets into a single widget area, each will use about 1/3 of the maximum width. The widget layout in the screenshot applies to all of the areas except the Primary Sidebar and the After Entry widget areas.
Interior Pro also includes code and scripts that change the layout or add features, including:
- reducing the secondary navigation to a single level
- moving the secondary navigation to the footer and renaming it
- repositioning page titles to below the header (above page content)
- repositioning post info (author & date) to below post content
- repositioning post meta (such as tags and categories) to above post content and customizing it to show only categories without any label
- adding support for the icon font ionicons
Introduced on 3/23/16, Interior Pro is a 2 column theme with a 3 layout options. Three of the 6 standard Genesis layout options have been removed to simplify content creation. The theme includes a landing page template. Beyond the WordPress standards of custom menus and threaded comments, the Interior Pro theme also supports custom headers, a custom background, and a mobile specific menu.
Interior Pro also supports Google web fonts (specifically Homemade Apple, Lora, and Open Sans).
